Steve Hyder is a versatile broadcaster with an impressive background in sports radio that includes hosting a successful afternoon drive sports talk show on WHEN in Syracuse. He also served as the WHEN play-by-play voice of the Toronto Blue Jays AAA baseball team in Syracuse. At WSYR in Syracuse, Hyder provided analysis, commentary, and pre-game/post-game anchoring for Syracuse University Orangemen basketball and football broadcasts. He also hosted weekly radio shows with Head Basketball Coach Jim Boeheim and Head Football Coach Paul Pasqualoni, and served as the stations morning drive sports anchor. In addition to radio, Hyders sports coverage experience includes stints working for the Empire Sports Network, FOX 68/UPN 43 WNYS, and Time Warner Cable. Hyder began his career in sports as Assistant GM for the Rhode Island Gulls (USBL).
